French Farm
Details
The sensitive placement of eight themed garden spaces at the perimeter of this New England landscape has allowed it to evolve dramatically alongside the preservation of its historic centre. H. Van Buren Magonigle designed this gentleman’s farm between 1905-1910 for Mary Billings French. These spaces are linked by paths meandering past stonewalls and through fields planted with a diverse collection of trees and shrubs assembled over nearly 40 years by the late David RA Wierdsma.
